🚀 Hiring: Senior Python Developer
📍 Montréal, QC, Canada (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)
📅 Contract: 6 Months (Possible Extension)

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join a high-performing team supporting a globally distributed virtualization platform. This role involves working on large-scale systems and contributing to mission-critical infrastructure in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
Be part of a skilled engineering team supporting a large-scale VMware-based platform
Develop and enhance backend systems for distributed, highly available environments
Build tools and APIs to manage and configure virtual machine infrastructure
Contribute to provisioning systems and automation frameworks
Collaborate with global teams on code reviews, design, and implementation
Ensure system stability, scalability, and performance

💡 Required Skills & Experience
Strong programming experience in Python and Perl
Hands-on experience with large-scale, modular applications
Solid knowledge of SQL and database programming
Experience with Git, Jenkins, Agile, and CI/CD practices
Strong Linux expertise, including UNIX system calls
Experience building backend systems for distributed architectures
Excellent collaboration, documentation, and code review skills

⭐ Nice to Have
Experience working in large, global enterprise environments
Exposure to IaaS platforms and virtualization technologies like VMware
Strong troubleshooting skills across OS, network, and storage layers
Knowledge of additional languages such as Erlang or Prolog
