🚀 Hiring: Java Full Stack / Big Data Developer (AML/Fraud Analytics) – Toronto (Onsite)

We’re looking for an experienced Java Full Stack Developer with Big Data expertise to join a leading project in Fraud Analytics & AML platforms.

📍 Location: Toronto (4 days/week onsite – non-negotiable)
⏳ Duration: 6 months (high chance of extension)

🔍 Role Overview
You’ll be part of a team building real-time and batch data pipelines for high-volume financial transactions, supporting fraud detection, AML monitoring, and regulatory compliance.

✅ Key Responsibilities
Build real-time & batch data pipelines for fraud/AML use cases
Process streaming data using Apache Spark & Kafka
Develop scalable ETL/ELT workflows
Ensure data quality, traceability & compliance readiness
Optimize systems for low latency & high throughput
Support downstream systems for alerts & investigations
Monitor & troubleshoot production pipelines

💡 Must-Have Skills
Strong in Apache Spark (Core, SQL, Streaming)
Hands-on Kafka / real-time streaming frameworks
Experience with Hadoop (HDFS, Hive)
Programming in Java / Python / Scala
Strong SQL & data processing skills
Comfortable with Linux/Unix environments

⭐ Nice to Have
Experience in Fraud Detection / AML / Banking domain
Knowledge of regulatory environments
Exposure to AWS / Azure
Familiarity with NoSQL (HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB)
Workflow tools like Airflow / Oozie

4 days onsite in Toronto is mandatory
A meet & greet (in-person on-boarding requirement) is required before joining
Travel for on-boarding (if needed) will be covered
