We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer / Data Engineering Lead to join a leading Financial Services organization in Toronto.

📍 Location: 81 Bay Street, Toronto – Hybrid
📅 Contract: 6 months | Possible extension & conversion
💰 Rate: CAD $85/hr T4 – $95/hr Inc. (negotiable for the right candidate)

🔑 Must-Have Skills
✅ 10+ years of overall experience
✅ 7+ years with Azure Data Factory, Databricks & Azure Functions (C#)
✅ Strong Python, Spark/PySpark, Pandas & Databricks experience
✅ Expert knowledge of Unity Catalog & Data Governance
✅ Medallion Architecture & Delta Tables
✅ Hive Metastore → Unity Catalog migration
✅ ADF → Databricks data ingestion
✅ Azure DevOps / GitHub Enterprise CI/CD pipelines
✅ Azure Entra ID, SSO & RBAC
✅ Azure PaaS: ADLS, ADF/SHIR, Databricks, Azure SQL & Synapse
✅ Experience in highly regulated environments
✅ Ability to lead a small team and drive technical problem-solving
💡 Financial Services experience is an asset.
